Health is the general body wellness. It is the level where the body functions at its best. This means that the body is well both mentally and physically. It is when we are able to make physical,mental and spiritual decisions for our health. We are happy and able to do many things when we are healthy. This document will give tips to a healthy lifestyle.
Food constitute a major part of our health. We are told that the number one medicine is the food we eat. In order to live a healthy lifestyle we need to cook food that is healthy. Food that has nutrients that our bodies need for survival is healthy. Food is balance when it has protein, healthy fats,vitamins and carbohydrates. Carbohydrates should be the non processed ones as well as proteins should be the good protein. Supplements should be taken because cooked food rarely has enough nutrients. Some of the supplements that we should take include minerals,vitamins and protein shakes.
To stay healthy we should exercise. The body must be engaged in exercise to ensure that the cells remain healthy. Exercise can be workouts in the gym or taking long walks. Cardio workout is very good in cutting down weight and it is good for our heart. Lifting weights will help build muscle and replace the fat with muscle which is a good thing. We can also stay fit by jogging. Working out in general will ensure that we maintain a healthy weight which is necessary when we are trying to stay healthy.
Our bodies are made of water and therefore staying hydrated is good for our healthy. It is recommended that we take 8 glasses of water per day. Water helps us detox especially when we urinate and sweat. Water helps our digestive system and prevents constipation. On top of water one may take a lot of fluids such as fresh juices, green tea etc.
Ensure you maintain a healthy mental well being. We can do this by reducing the stress in our lives. Stress is a very unhealthy emotional disease that is caused by overthinking in many cases about problems. Since it distorts your emotions and feelings it is dangerous for your health. Stress may lead to depression if not checked. If not treated on time depression being a mental disease can kill.
Maintaining a healthy body weight. So as to maintain good health one must have healthy weight. This is usually checked through the BMI that should be on normal levels depending on the persons weight,height and age. Being overweight could lead to diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart problems etc.
